Of all the paperwork a real estate investor will sign, none is more important than the real estate contract.
Boiled down to its essentials, the real estate contract is a legally binding agreement between a buyer and a seller, agreeing to the transfer of title to a piece of property.
Considering how many of these a real estate investor will see, it’s important to understand the basics of how it works, as well as some of the terms involved. Of course, this doesn’t replace the advice of an attorney.

You are part of the solution in turning this economy around, and your success in real estate investing depends on your answers to these questions and any other unanswered questions you may have.
‘Consideration’ in this context I assume to be earnest money.
Very easy to understand report; thank you so much for defining these all-important terms for us!
Thank you much , this is exactly what I have been needing.
I see plenty of Docusign (electronic signature) agreements coming through for real estate offers to purchase. What I find interesting is it will automatically fill in your name, but many times the entire name can’t fit in the space alloted For example, when you are buying a property in your business name dba your personal name. That is pertinent information that follows in the dba, but many times will not show up on the docusign document. I assume it is still legally binding as we are getting some good offers accepted.
This sums up a Real Estate Law class I recently took nicely. I wish I could have had this report earlier. It would have saved me from reading 604 pages form a legal book (which is worded more complicated than it really needs to be).
